Artistic Journey & Devotion

At the heart of Vijayam Dance Academy is Guru Smt. Vijayam Karthik, whose lifelong journey has been deeply intertwined with the sacred classical dance tradition of Tamil Nadu.

For over 27 continuous years, she has systematically guided generations of young aspirants into disciplined, expressive classical dancers. Her pedagogy marries rigorous adherence to classical Nattuvangam and Tala structures with profound exploration of Bhava, Rasa, and Abhinaya.

Under her watchful eye, 25 disciples have completed their sacred Salanga Pooja, and 10 senior disciples have ascended the stage for full 3-hour solo Arangetrams accompanied by live classical orchestras.
